曾是TVB藝人兼三料視后的胡杏兒，在2015年約滿離巢，而《巾幗梟雄之諜血長天》就成為其告別作。離開大台後她與男友結婚，並且主力在內地發展演藝事業。不過，最近她就出演ViuTV新劇。 監製伍健雄撰文談及與胡杏兒合作，表示自己一直很欣賞對方，又知道對方現實中是一位幸福少奶奶，相信今次這個與本身反差極大的角色是一個很好的發揮機會。而胡杏兒在接受訪問時透露自己喜歡拍一些女性題材的劇，而《熟女強人》的角色是自己想演的類型，覺得很有挑戰性，而且演員陣容令她有新鮮感。 胡囧囧去左viutv @@ 估唔到 #VIUTV #胡杏兒
